Just before Michele Obama put Villa Padierna on the world tourist map in the most spectacular fashion, I djed at another wonderful wedding there. My role that day was to play the music during the blessing, music during dinner and then ROCK THE HOUSE at the end.
Tony Manners and Jayne Cavers’ big day was always going to be memorable after Tony walked down the steps of the Amphitheatre to AC DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’. Luckily Jayne had chosen more traditional, and more beautiful music, for her arrival.
Later, after a great dinner, where I played background music handpicked by the couple, the band Shamrock took to the stage. They rocked the multinational crowd superbly with their mix of rock and soul and pop classics.
I have to be honest and say I had a few minutes behind my decks wondering if I could follow them ok and a long, long think about what song to play first. I needn’t have worried, the boys in the band had softened the guests up, and Mickey Dolenz and the Monkees have never let me down before and they didn’t this time. Tony and Jayne had chosen some music for me to play that was exactly what their guests wanted, including rock, pop and one or two of the latest dance tunes. I just added more music in similar styles and the house ROCKED out from the very first bar of I’m a believer to the last note of the last encore.
The wedding has been featured in Confeti magazine, see more at http://www.confetimagazine.com/images/stories/pdf/confeti_remembers.pdf
My thanks to Eugenia at Pino Palma Productions for booking me, to Shamrock for the atmosphere they created, to the staff at Villa Padierna for their professionalism and great food and Tony and Jayne for inviting me to share such a wonderful evening.
Eugenia Pino Palma, my Spanish agent, has been booking me for events here and at other hotels around Marbella, like the Kempinski, for over a year now. All her events are superbly well organised and very, very enjoyable. http://www.ppmusicproductions.com/
Mrs Obama and I have no hesitation in recommending you to Villa Padierna. Whether it’s in Benavista, Estepona or Marbella, it’s still a lovely location for a wedding.

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for every thing you did on our wedding day. The music you supplied for the whole day was just what we wanted. I can’t believe that having only met us once before that you knew exactly how we wanted things to go and also the style of music. Your choices for the ceremony were top draw and the quality of the sound system was first rate. I think the fact that when you finished your set late at night everybody still wanted more proves what a fantastic job you did and we really can’t thank you enough. It is always a potential risk as we have heard of plenty horror stories in the past but not this time. You really did give us great value for money and a great night of dancing. I would be only too happy to recommend you to anybody who is looking for a D.J in Spain and feel free to give my email address to anybody who requires further proof of your talent.
“Once again many thanks.”
Tony and Jayne
