Closing dinner and Awards Ceremony

The music was in two parts. During dinner it was a mix of chillout, jazz and lounge played quietly. The music came from all over the world to reflect the origins of the competitors in the competition. During the awards ceremony the music was played much louder. As each competitor went up onto the stage to get their award I played some ‘stirring’ music and, surprise, surprise, I played Queen’s ‘We are the champions’ as the overall winner, Choul Hee Lee from Korea, collected his trophy. I played some more music as hundreds of photos were taken and finally a couple of tunes while the diners were led into the bar next door for the next stage of the evening.

Bang and Olufson

This was a 12 minute music mix to demonstrate the superb sound quality of their hi fi systems.

The music mix featured recordings of live performances from several singers and bands.

The idea was to make the listeners think that there were real musicians playing live behind the closed curtain on the stage.

Sound quality of the highest standard was required for this project.

Fashion Show on a summer theme.

The music selected was upbeat jazz and swing music

The idea was to create the vibrant and dynamic feel of the new year to reflect the spring clothes that the models were wearing.

The audience almost had no choice but to get caught up in the fashion show because everyone was tapping their feet as the most superb swing music played.     

Energy FM

Radio station launch.

I helped them create the image of the station by making promos and a whole range of audio over a 5 month period.

Music for a pantomime

The idea was to find music to accompany the songs with new lyrics that this amateur dramatics group wanted to use in their pantomime. I edited the music so that it had the right number of verses and choruses, and the right lengths of music for dancing to. I also found sound Efffects for different characters and situations and played the soundtrack at each performance of the panto.
